got this from an email subscriber at WREL:
Hola from Wrightsville Beach -
I'm never off duty - consider me your roving weather reporter. We are currently receiving the first bands of the TD. This morning we received 1.7 inches of rain, and had serious thunder and lightning as a precursor. Our weather here is on standby - the radio nets are not currently active, although they have been activated twice in the last 2 days. We are expecting off and on rain - when it does storm it will be intense and heavy rains are expected. I do have a digital camera here, so if there is anything interesting I can capture before I am swept away - will do.
(good to have contacts!)
