Up to 71 now...(sigh of relief)...we will be alright after all...by lunchtime we may be able to take off our gloves and hats (don't think i am exaggerating that too much from what I have seen the last few days)...remember, any temp below 60 results in delayed school openings and a state of emergency down here.

17F in Knoxville

I also drove north to SW Virginia and noted these temperatures:

13F in Morristown, TN
11F in Bristol, TN
10F in Abingdon, VA
8F 15mi NW of Abingdon, VA

and the deal breaker:

5F at 3900' on Skycraft Road in SW Virginia.

It was cold enough that ice crystals were forming about 3 feet off of the ground.

-44 degree Celsius = -47.2 degree Fahrenheit (including windchill).......-32 degree Celsius = -25.6 degree Fahrenheit (without)

I'll put the windchill one first since our steam boiler blew a hole and we are now on sparse electric heat :cold: (praying the currently curing patch will take).
