$20 is too low. That would put deflationary pressure on the economy, sending us right into depression

Everything will lose it's value. We'll all be paying off debt on items that are no longer selling at the price we originally bought them for.

My head is spinning.... :double:

Isn't that always the case? Everything (excepting some collectors' items) loses it's value as soon as you buy it.

I wasn't talking about the obvious - cars, clothing, etc. I was referring more to homes and the next new car you get may actually be cheaper than the one you bought the last time.

LMAO YES.

I bought 10 gallons today for $16 and it wasn't even the cheapest in town.

It cracks me up now to see cars lined up 3-deep at each pump at the WalMart for $1.51/gallon. Good grief...the empty gas station next door is still selling it for $1.59! Dirt cheap!

I pumped gas on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for $1.93. First time below $2 in a long time.

Well...prices have stopped falling here in Grayson County. The cheapest is still $1.52, and most stations have actually jumped back up a nickel or a dime per gallon since Thanksgiving. Looks like the rest of the country is getting a chance to catch up finally.

Prices seem to have stabilized at around 1.549 to 1.659 per gallon here in the Houston area.
