Well, according to the link of the elev. map you provided us with, i'm somewhere around 1200' in elevation, which actually shocked me. I was thinking i was more like 1000-1050'. Thanks again for the link!!
Concerning yesterday's severe weather...I think you guys in northeast forsyth got it worse than us. I estimate the winds at my house in south forsyth got up to maybe 50 or 60mph for a breif period. We had some small branches fall off the trees and alot of leaves everywhere but besides that...in my neighborhood at least...we got off easy i think. BTW, what kind of weather station do you own?
Hey Adam,
I like those topo maps a lot!
Did you lose power? I've seen Sawnee EMC trucks on just about every corner today in my travels around the County. I've also seen more damage :o . I wish I had taken my camera with me ! I'd agree that the South End of the County was spared somewhat.
I have a Davis Vantage Pro. I've been very happy with it. Davis has just released a new version of their Weatherlink software, and it has some goodies that I plan to experiment with this weekend
Also, I saw your thread a week or two ago about winter wx predictions for N GA. Sorry I didn't get to reply to it. But my reply would have been the same for every year ( I'm an eternal optimist ) 3 or 4 snow and/or ice events, with at least 1 dropping over 6"
