A slow moving cold front is very slowly moving to the East...parts of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic have been getting slammed the past 2 days with heavy rain and severe thunderstorms...the Lehigh Valley International Airport has reported almost 3.5" of rain since Monday...and with another 1-4" possible today.
The whole Eastern Seaboard is under a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon... http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html
The areas at most risk this afternoon seem to be: Extreme Southeast New Jersey, Southern Delaware, Southern Maryland, Southeastern Virginia, Eastern North Carolina, Most of South Carolina, and East Central Georgia. Everyone in those areas, as well as the entire Eastern Seaboard should monitor the skies and the latest updates from your local NWS and the SPC.
