Tropical wave has splited with the most energy near Bahamas

#1 Postby cycloneye » Wed Jul 23, 2003 7:14 am

The former TD#6 now a wave has splited but the most energy has gone NW of Hispanola. Now what we have to watch is if something develops from that area. What is south of Haiti is a mid to upper low as the 8:05 TWD stated. If all remember the UKMET model had it's track from this system going toward the Bahamas so after all they were right.

Definitely a very interesting and complicated scenario developing here Cycloneye. We indeed now have two areas to watch, with the majority of the convection NE of the wave axis being pulled NNE by the ULL near the Bahamas while some convection is firing near Jamaica with the mid/upper level circulation associated with the wave axis over the N Central Carribean. The 2003 Hurricane is continuing to keep us on our toes!!
