Tropical weather outlook 10:00 PM EDT 7/16/03 Atlantic Luis Martinez (Cycloneye) storm2k forecaster
TD#5 has been upgraded to tropical storm Danny tonight as the sat pics show an impressive system with good outflow and banding. But it will be short lived because cooler waters await it ahead. It is moving NNW but will eventually turn north and then NE without bothering anyone.
A strong tropical wave located SW of the cape verde islands continues to persist in terms of the convection.Conditions are favorable for additional development and a tropical depression may form in a day or two.
Elsewhere...Tropical storm formation is not expected thru friday.

TD#6 is located at 12.6n-46.2w moving west at 18 mph.It has favorable conditions ahead of it to be upgraded to a tropical storm on sunday. It all depends on the big east coast trough that may deviate the system more to the NW so stay tuned here at storm2k forecast center for more details as they become available.
TS Danny is weakening big time and the question is what will be left of it as it does a loop. This remanants may go to warmer waters and regenerate but let's see what happens.
Elsewhere...Tropical storm formation is not expected thru monday.
