NHC planning for Recon over 97L

#1 Postby The_Cycloman_PR » Sat Jul 19, 2003 10:35 am

Last tropical weather outlook...

CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS ASSOCIATED WITH A WELL-ORGANIZED TROPICAL
WAVE...LOCATED ABOUT 1150 MILES EAST OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS...HAVE
BECOME A LITTLE MORE CONCENTRATED THIS MORNING. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS
ARE FAVORABLE FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION AND...IF NECESSARY...A
RECONNAISSANCE PLANE WILL REACH THE SYSTEM ON MONDAY.

A change of tone?? :o

They change the language many times from no significant development is expected to development is possible and to development is likely in a day or two but that always happens when they write the TWO.

I think we will have Erika soon. Latest loops show a classic system with a nice circulation developing. Is a TD at least by nowIMO. Erika is arriving soon! Cheers!!

Just took a long look at her and she is starting to look real good. The out flow around her looks interesting also. Has much improved her apperance since yesterday. Should not be long now. WOW! What a record breaking month and we still have several more days to go.

Outlfow now looks excellent, low-level circulation appears to be developing. We'l have a TS in 24-36 hours, most likely.
