I just looked at the satellite- she is still there.

Is it possible that the system is due to totally break up and this is why it is no longer on the site here? That would be great for me.

Hanna making a move to Fl? Tropical storm force winds just offshore East Central FL

Those winds are quite a bit higher than what is actually being observed. The buoy ob from 41009 20NM East of Cape Canaveral has been running 25-27KT sustained with gusts to 35KT. The buoy ob from 41010 (120NM East of New Smyrna Beach/Daytona Beach) has slackened a bit from it's peak sustained winds 33-37KTgusting to nearly 50KT.

It started to mist when I was outside putting the deck furniture away. The sky is grey. I really don't know what to expect here now. TWC people are in NC and yet, it seems like it will be closer to MB or even us here in CHarleston.

I'm thinking about going to the store for some last minute stuff. Wal-mart was cleared out on Tuesday.

No, if anything she is getting better organized. The graphic is probably being updated or they moved her out because Ike is much greater threat and Hanna blocked her cone.

Hmm: Perhaps they're the flight-level readings?

Would probably go straight to a warning if anything happens. And personally I think a last minute one will go up soon.

Well, actually I can't find Hanna even on the home page either. Since so many people come here for information, it is possible some people may think this is no longer a threat. And heck, maybe it is not...whats a little rain?

http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid= ... 11&loop=no

Looks like an eyewall forming and much better org. on the radar. Please correct me if I am wrong. But if so, I was not expecting this last night.

Honestly I can not see much from that shot to suggest an eyewall. The pressure would suggest it could, but pressure alone is not everything. Recon is close. The loop you posted almost looked more NNW. Difficult to tell by long range radar in the mid levels.

3.4 inches of rain by the beach in boca

5 inches of rain at my parents in parkland,fl

yes she is in the Gufl stream

yes she is way SW of where her center was supposed to be

and yes TWC won't show a visible loop cause everyone watching (that isn't a weather geek) would say wait this storm is very close to fl, why don't you guys have some one there.

http://adds.aviationweather.gov/satelli ... &itype=vis

with that being said i don't know where this storm is going , most likely since it is not moving as fast as they say it is it will be finally picked up by the shortwave and turn toward the north, looking at visible it appears the WNW motion it has had since yesterday afternoon has stopped.

i think about 89.9% chance hanna becomes a cane based on the visible loop over 87 degree gulf stream waters 90 miles east of central florida

Seems to me that the centre is pretty easily spotted on a microwave from around 11z:
