The rain and wind was loud enough in west palm to wake me up...and i sleep like the dead!
My west facing bedroom window got pelted...didn't expect it quite this hard...

983mb and 72kts fl. Position looks a little odd. Almost a westward adjustment.

Hanna is intensifying and continues to move towards florida. Looks like Jacksonville will get some (near?) TS force action. I'm surprised NHC has a track over the east end of Manhattan as a 40 kt TS after going through NC.

Part of the 40kt thing for NY is that she will be flying then and transitioning into extratropical. Almost more of a gale center then.

Not much going on here in Mt. P either. I haven't done anything with the outdoor furniture yet because I though when I went to bed last night that it was going to be way more north than they track shows now. I guess now I need to figure out what to do with that trampoline in the yard. We didn't have it when Gaston came through.

I guess I need to get going putting the porch furniture away too, just in case.

TWC said lake ocochobee is being drained d/t all the rain. that is sort of wonderful knowing for 2-3 years it was drought stricken. Fl water table is going up but people north of fl need some of these beneficial rains to end the drought in the south east.

Most of the southeast could still use some rain other than areas flooded by Fay and/or Gustav. I know here in Charlotte we would welcome a rain event. It is more west than track and looking a bit better on sat with pressure starting to drop. If she closes off the dry air she would be a real rain maker.

The rain from Hanna wasn't really forecast for S FL,maybe just a few rainbands. Here in Boca Raton we had 3.5" of rain so far. Also to boot where getting worse weather now than we did with Fay do to thw winds whipping around between 20 to 30 mph. These rains were really unexpected.Good luck to Georgia and the Carolina's on Hanna it looks like its getting its act together.
