12Z HWRF spins this up into a monster near the leeward islands:

http://moe.met.fsu.edu/cgi-bin/hwrftc2. ... =Animation

Borderline cat 3/4 at 102 hours.

Fine mesh data missing after that, but it's intensifying more - skirting the north side of DR at 126.

Welcome to the Atlantic, Ike. Hopefully you won't become as famous as these two Ikes:

Ike it is! With Josephine coming in the next two days as well. 10 Storms before Sept 10th!

I suppose anyone who said this was gonna be a 14-15 storm season was dead wrong. Way, way way too far away to determine a future... unfortunately this thing looks to be heading near the Bahamas and that's...not good.

Sadly my 21/11/5 prediction may not be so crazy now. :yayaya:

Ugh. That means September will be one long 30 day terror ride.

Ike is looking solid too.

Ike looks mean. Euro makes her really bad, going into the Keys then turning her into the panhandle. Sheesh. It looks like we're gonna have landfall after landfall.
