Looks like the NHC is pretty much ignoring Danny forming out near 27N/50W, or about 950 miles ESE of Bermuda. This was the large eddy that moved off the coast of Africa about 3-4 days ago.

Not sure if it's Danny yet, but I agree that this has a very good chance at become another named storm. How is the environment out there?

Fish

#6 Postby wxman57 » Tue Jul 15, 2003 2:05 pm

Yep, he's a fish storm. It's forming just south of the high center so it'll move WNW-NW-N, pass east of Bermuda and head out to sea. NHC is too busy with some storm in the Gulf to worry about it now.

I am glad to know that he will be heading out to sea. Hope those fishermen get out of harms way.

Good...fish storm.

I need sleep.

Here's hoping Erika is weeks away from development.

Hopefully, we will have a few fish spinners if this season turns out to have a high storm count.

That pic is just showing that system. That system in the Atlantic has been
watched since yesterday. The recon hasn't flown there yet to see if it's a
TD.

It sure has a nice form to it. The coldfront that just pushed offshore may even take Danny out to sea further.

I have to agree. A fish storms would be welcomed. We have already had one TS and now a Hurricane and we are only in mid-July.

THE AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER ABOUT 875 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST
OF BERMUDA IS GRADUALLY BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED. THIS SYSTEM IS
MOVING TO THE NORTHWEST AT 10-15 MPH AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO
BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

Is the fat lady singing yet?????

I'm depressed just watching all the news and seeing the damage.

And yet, not so depressed that I can't find two things to post this evening to get me to 200.
