Hi all. I had someone ask me where to find the best satellite imagery online for zoomed-in high res visible shots. I use GARP at work now, and have our web site to go to for imags, so I'm a bit out of the "satellite loop" (ha) online. Before, the "Defiant" server was my favorite:
http://defiant.wrh.noaa.gov/hurr
But that link appears dead now. They had high-res storm-centered imagery there. Anyone know where this page is now, or any better one?
Was just looking around and found the RAMSDIS page, which is similar to the one above used to be:

For the Gulf of Mexico, the best highrest still shots come out of Texas (TNRCC):
They used to have loops, but I can't navagate into their system except though the links I have.

Thanx Duck!
That is what the stat guys at UCF said it was. Just didn't see the relationship to satellite imagery. That did ring a bell,I think I used this program in an epidemologic study last year or someone on the project utilized it.
Wxman57 can you explain how you use this program to utilize imagery?

I would also give http://www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/goes.html a try. You have a lot of control over the images and looping lengths.
