"Triumph Over Disaster: The Hurricane Andrew Story" airs in the wee hours of tomorrow morning at 3:00 EST on Lifetime Movie Network (yes, the movie channel for women).
I had no idea that they made a movie about Andrew. I have an affinity for made-for-TV movies anyway (especially the Lifetime ones)...and hurricane watching....so I'll be taping this.
Just thought I'd post that in case anyone else has a desire to see it and see how they portray things.

I saw the movie
Hi everyone, I've seen the movie a couple of times. It's pretty good,
a bit soap operie, but the movie basically follows the storyline of a
couple different families and also Brain Norcross a Miami weather
guy who stayed on all night to keep viewers informed. Oh yeah,
and I did tear up a few times, but I'm a girl so that's expected LOL

The part of the movie I didn't understand (I've seen it, and actually taped it off NBC in 1993 when it originally aired)....why didn't meteorologist Bryan Norcross play himself?
In the movie, Ted Wass portrayed Bryan Norcross while Bryan portrayed some news assistant with only one line in the entire movie
-- Also, the guy playing Dr Robert Sheets looked about as much like Dr Sheets as I do -- and that ain't much
In all honesty, I gave it three stars (***). It wasn't the greatest disaster movie ever created, but I honestly enjoyed it more than "Twister".
