Any predictions on what the 7 PM advisory will bring based on the recon data and satellite images?

If the next recon don't show strengthing, I think its time to start thinking that this won't be a hurricane, unless this pulls a Humberto off the coast. We will see...
This season kind of reminds me a little of 2002(70%), which 2003 with the early season(30%). In case you went to point to Bertha to match that Kyle had 88 Advisory's. It also had Isidore and Lili.

I think we may be focusing too much on every little change. I think it's reasonable to think this storm will come ashore as a low Cat 1 or a high TS, and nobody in the path will be able to tell the difference.

Getting some nice breezes now in Lafayette, LA. I am concerned about how I am going to light the charcoal with such a breeze!
Our aircraft base in Creole evacuated earlier today. The base was a disaster after Rita and they aren't taking any chances this time.
This is making for some great evening weather here!

Oh no, I'm not going through that again. LOL! I'm going to say, winds at 55 mph (I think that's being generous). If it's going NE, then I'm sticking with my prediction of a Beaumont, TX landfall.

Looking at radar presentation, Edouard has definitely slowed down.
We'll see when we get the next center fix.

Anyone know why the satellite pictures aren't refreshing or when they'll start working again?

True, not much difference between 70 mph TS or a 74 mph Hurricane...just the name would make it SEEM worse. Human nature would come into play.
