If I could find a new vortex, I'd tell ya. ;)

I haven't been able to get a new one since early last night.

That "Claudette has weakened" (IMO 40-45 kts), and that "little change in strength is likely during the next 24 hours" -- and -- "Interests along the western and northern Gulf Coasts should monitor Claudette for latest developments"..

Just my opinion..

NOTREALBULLETIN - IT'S A JOKE, GET A CLUE, THIS IS A JOKE
TROPICAL STORM CLAUDETTE ADVISORY NUMBER 1423
NOT THE NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
4:30 PM EDT FRI JUL 11 2003

...CLAUDETTE IS IN THE GULF OF MEXICO...AS FAR AS WE CAN TELL...

AT 4:30 PM EDT...2130 UTC...THE GOVERNMENT OF MEXICO IS WATCHING THE SKY AND
LOOKING AT ALL THE PRETTY CLOUDS.

INTERESTS FROM THE MEXICO/TEXAS BORDER TO THE SHORES OF GITCHEEGOOMEE
SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF CLAUDETTE.

SATELLITE IMAGERY AND REPORTS FROM AN AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE
HUNTER AIRCRAFT INDICATE THE CENTER OF CLAUDETTE IS SOMEWHAT OFF
FROM WHERE WE ORIGINALLY SAID.

AT 4:30 PM EDT...2130Z...THE POORLY-DEFINED CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM
CLAUDETTE WAS LOCATED NEAR SOMEWHERE OFF THE COAST OF THE YUCATAN
BUT WE STILL HAVEN'T REACHED AN AGREEMENT ABOUT WHERE IT ACTUALLY IS..

CLAUDETTE IS MOVING UP THROUGH THE WATER NEAR 12 MPH...22 KM/HR...REALLY SLOW...
AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WITH A SLOWER
FORWARD SPEED OR MAYBE A FASTER SPEED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
THIS MOTION SHOULD BRING THE CENTER, WHICH WE STILL HAVEN'T ACTUALLY LOCATED,
INTO THE SOUTHERN GULF OF MEXICO TODAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE REALLY FAST...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT
24 HOURS ALTHOUGH THE WAY SHE'S BEEN BEHAVING, WE COULD BE REALLY WRONG.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS LOWER THAN THE BLOOD PRESSURE OF
WEATHER WATCHERS.

AN OFFICIAL, AND HOPEFULLY BETTER, ADVISORY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE
CENTER AT 5 PM EDT

Y'all are welcome.

I needed it too. She's made most of us pull our hair out, bite our nails, lose sleep, and drink far too much caffeine lately.

We'll see what she does as the night progresses.

Take care,
~Duck

LOL...I was thinking that was real until I thought, "Hmmmm, they wouldn't issue something like this...it sounds too funny..." Then I looked up and saw that it said it was a joke...

Pretty cool though! :) And I agree completely!
