Nope, it is going to go to the Mexico/ TX border. If this was going anywhere else, why would the NHC be projecting the path to go there?

If it is stalling... then that means it is going to make that westward track. IMO.

Hmmm... I do not know Johnathan. However, I have learned from past hurricanes that when they stall they are getting ready to do something. All I am saying is if they have a clue where this MAY go other than the projected path then they need to update soon.

Sorry but no one knows for sure. The entire Gulf Coast needs to be prepared. Claudette is full of trickery. Forecasts are changing almost on an hourly basis.

With the LLC moving west along the Yuc. tip, I don't see any dramatic shift from the NHC anytime soon.

There's just as good of a chance that she dies. THe LLC is snagged and it better make a move back to the convection or we will have to start all over again with a new LLc...or start over again with convection. The LLC is solid now...good west winds well south of the center. A new LLC will not form in teh convection...the winsd are too strong and any LLc that tried to form there will get sheared apart. We have a LLC we have to work with and it is duking it out with the yuck right now.

I'm not sure either.....I don't think ANYBODY is right now. Everybody along the Gulf Coast needs to be ready.

Seadootoo, I totally agree with you! The LLCC keeps separating from the convection more and more. The more disorganized it gets, the greater the low level steering influence is. The low level steering flow sugests westward into Mexico. The Northern Gulf is safe for now and probably will be the whole time.

Looks like the convection just took a jog towards the Northeast? Are my eyes fooling me?

With all due respect..the "pros" are lost on the one..I do however think she is starting to get into trouble..the latest sats look bleak..Claudette has been a fighter..but how much fight does she have left??? Thats the question!!! :o Good job on trying to forecast this one guys..she's been a headache!!!
