Keep in mind, it is a NOAA flight, so they are collecting other environmental data

Ok, for everyone still up and awake on this board, maybe someone can tell me when the next RECON is scheduled to go out?

There was supposed to be an AF flight from 0315z (11:15p ET) with an 0600z (2:00a ET) fix. It appears that this flight did not leave. The next flight is scheduled to leave at 0800z (4:00a ET) with a 1200z (8:00a ET) fix.

Looks like they've canned the 0800 flight too.

Dolly is inland, RECON doesn't fly to storm when they are inland.

The "center" appears to have moved back into the Gulf. So it is not really inland.

NOAA planes do make VDMs

I think the center is too close to land toi get a true vortex message

It seems difficult to find a well-defined LLC:
