My guess for tomorrow: remains a wave, but goes up to about 50 kt. Finally becomes a storm on Monday, then hits the Yucatan at 80 kt. After weakening to 40 kt, it explodes to 125 kt in the Gulf making landfall as such near the Texas-Mexico border.

10:15 P.M. CDT 7.19/2008 TROPICAL DISTURBANCE STATEMENT
For official information, please visit the National Hurricane Center (RSMC Miami) at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov or local emergency management officials.
Satellite imagery indicates that the tropical wave south of Jamaica has continued to become better organized. In addition, there are signs that a surface circulation is developing. Environmental conditions are also becoming more favorable for development. This wave is now expected to become a tropical storm within the next 12-24 hours. Already, tropical storm force winds are present with this wave.
Residents of Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula need to closely monitor the progress of this developing system. Even if it were not to develop, tropical storm conditions would like spread over the area late tomorrow and Monday.
It is too soon to speculate as to where the storm would move once in the Gulf of Mexico.

I'll bite and say that it is actually in between the two blobs, and those two will start wrapping around the center and will be a Hurricane by noon tomorrow.

Where did this come from? I don't see it on the nhc website. Sorry, I'm pretty tired tonight. May have just overlooked it.

The way this storm has been, I'm not prepared to make a call of what it will do 10 min. from now much less 72 hrs. This storm had defied all odds.
