I would throw it from Fernandina Beach, FL to Surf City, NC (the GA, SC and S NC coasts) and a Tropical Storm Watch from Surf City to Cape Hatteras.

i would expect at least watches to go up in that general area.

I dont know if its weather related or not, but I have the worst headache right now, and I had one yesterday too, but not as bad as today.

If it persists get it checked out by a doctor....hopefully some strong over the counter meds will do the trick, if you are not allergic to such meds...

Charleston radar is a little more revealing .. it helps verify the center fix .. especially with the recent burst of convection wrapping around the apparent center fix

center becoming more evident if that is the case we will see ,
the radar is looking up at about 11k ft that far out but appears to be it

That's what I thought, but I am definitely much much less experienced than half the posters here...

If JB is right, might even hoist a hurricane watch tonight for parts of North Carolina. I think because of the dry air inland this storm will be more heavily weighted than usual on its East side, and the most weather will be along and East of the center.

None of that is official, of course.

A useful link for those of you using radar to locate the LLC - a radar beam height calculator:

http://www.wdtb.noaa.gov/tools/misc/bea ... width.html

Using 60nm from Charleston and a 0.5 beam angle, the radar is actually looking at around 6000 feet above the surface.
