No problem guys....as a Met myself I can dedicate a whole wealth of knowledge when it comes to little known sites all around the net. Glad I can contribute so people can utilize whats out there.

I have been checking out Lightningstorm.com for quite awhile now. I liked then they 0 to 120 minute cloud to ground strikes were updated every 15 minutes instead of 30 minute intervals.

I am going to be saving (on Notepad) the lightning count through this event. I have done this a few times even back when lightningstorm.com used to update their site every 15 minutes, rather than every 30 minutes.

The more dense the dots are and the more red there are the more interesting the thunderstorm situation is over the United States, extreme northern Mexico, extreme southern Canada, eastern Pacific Ocean and western Atlantic Ocean.

Friday, February 14, 2003:

3:00pm ET to 5:00pm ET: 1,069
3:30pm ET to 5:30pm ET: 1,514
4:00pm ET to 6:00pm ET: 1,716

The thunderstorms are not that widespread, so that means there are pretty intense storms out there this mid-late afternoon into evening. :D
