Interesting to say the least. From the looks of this track it may not be over the Yucatan too long. Is there a possibilty that the NHC is overestimating the weakening of Caludette or will she be much slower by then?

Hmmm....well it took her 21 hours to get from 15.0N to 16.5N but only 9 hours to get from 16.5N to 17.8N. On this latest advisory, she moved .8 north but only .5 west. Maybe just a wobble? We'll see...
The forecasters still call for a turn to the west in the GOM after the ridge weakens. Here's my question for you experts: Is the ridge weakening a pretty certain thing?
