It is just so hard to believe that within the next 3-6 weeks we will probably be looking at our first Invest threads and possibly even an early season storm. Crazy!

Also of note: other than the first couple of days, this will be my first Hurricane season on storm2k that I will not be living in Houston. Instead, I plan on spending the first part of the season in central Florida, and then I will eventually be making my final move up to central Oklahoma (and away from the Hurricane threat zone) shortly before the peak of the season arrives.

EWG- thats okay me and Tyler will hold the fort down while your away. Just your luck we see some action down here this year.

A preseason major hurricane? I can just imagine how nuts everybody would be if that happened today.

Yep it would be crazy, esp because of the systems track was fairly close to the Carolinas when it was at its strongest though there weren't much damage. Able is the only pre-season major...indeed there has only ever been 4 hurricanes in the month of May in history so chances for such a development in any one year are pretty slim.
