Has anyone ever tried permanent makeup? I really don't know all that much about it, but I don't think I'd ever get it. However, I recently tried Revlon Colorstay Overtime and love it! It's lipstick that stays on for many hours, even through eating, brushing your teeth, etc. lol - kind of a weird thing to get excited about, but when running around throughout the day, I will often reapply my lipstick... with this stuff, you put it on once and it's there all day! I was amazed.

I know a couple of ladies that have the permanent eyeliner. I don't think it looks all that great myself. I also have a friend that did the "permanent" eyelash enhancement. That looked great for a while but I'm not sure she knew she would have to go have them "retouched" once a month. lol
I'm gonna have to try that lipstick you're talking about. That would be nice for work. Thanks for the tip!

Like you Kelly, I would not opt for permanent makeup. Or a tattoo for that matter.....but I don't judge anyone else that gets one, they're just for me. The word that I shy away from is permanent.
I wear light makeup anyway....always have. And I've never worn eye shadow - I know, I know, that's an odd thing to admit but I've just never liked to get all made up like that or if done the right way, in an understated way.
I stick to 4 makeup supplies, for lack of a better word - foundation, blush, mascara (washable type, never waterproof) and occasionally lip stick, but not the heavy stuff, mostly gloss.
I'm a firm believer in less is more. Even when I apply makeup, I remove half on a tissue, so I don't end up with too much or a line. Gasp!
But thanks for the lipstick tip.

Don't ever get permanent makeup. . . Your skin and features change as grow older and the makeup should change as you get older. . .

Two ladies at work have the permanent eyeliner, and it works really well for both of them. For some reason I seem to recall they had to travel to Mississippi for the surgery/tattoo/whatever you want to call it because it wasn't offered locally (Alabama). Not sure, that was several years ago.

Why? Does your powder flake off into the computer or do the eyelashes come off and get stuck in the cooling fan?

I've only used it for 3 days now, but it hasn't dried my lips out. I absolutely love that I don't have to keep reapplying lipstick occasionally. I don't wear dark or bold makeup, but I usually wear makeup when I leave the house, and if I have on makeup, I have to have lipstick as well. I don't wear dark lipstick either, but I like a little color. This stuff is perfect for me.

I would be afraid of styles changing. Every few years, the "in look" is different. Think of the 80's with the heavy liner, bright sparkly colors and bright lips vs todays more subtle look ( sometimes). Permanent is ...well... permanent.
Coriolis: Lipstick on the collar is not always permanent...but generally irreversible.

I heard that, Windswept.
Like any tatoo, I wouldn't want to do anything permanent to my body. My attitude to makeup in general: Phooey.
