Yea Ticka and I debated over it this morning in chat. It looked to be weaking but now it looks better. How many are on the forecasting team Dereck?

Right now, there are 3 and possibly 4 at the end of the year

Yes, the islands will get tropical storm winds from this. Latest IR shows a decrease in convection, but better organization and an enlargement of the cloud field (particularly the rotating cloud field) which has expanded. Interestingly, the "core" has slowed a bit allowing the cloud field to wrap around. What was a small area of circulation looks to have grown. Now the key is if some stronger convection moves into the "center" overnight. Looks to me though that the system overall is evolving/developing. Just add t'storms Cheers!

Well don't hesitate to ask for help Derek. I probably don't have the knowlege that they have but if you need another student I am available. Maybe in the off season or a slow time unless someone has the time to take me under a wing.
