Strange....

#1 Postby feederband » Sun Apr 27, 2008 3:08 pm

Yesterday My son had his Championship football game...Not a cloud in the sky maybe a 5 mile wind...Now we were sitting under our gazebo one of those $80.00 versions you can get at Wall-Mart as a matter of fact in was in a line of 4 of them..Now all the sudden one to my left flipped over and before I could grab of mine it shot off straight into the air about 30 feet rolled over got about half way across the field and then came back toward the stand area where there was about 100 people and the went back into the field where it reached about 50 feet and the crashed back to the earth in pieces..

Now there was no sign of what was coming and the whole time it was just the gazebo for over 30 seconds ...No leaves or dirt just nothing... It was really sureal...

To bad it was half time and no one had their cameras rolling..

Maybe a powerfull Dust Devil that never reached the ground?

Could it have been sea breeze related?

Well it was around 5:30...But it took a wide circle so it was caught in some sort of vortexing updraft...But it was just isolated to about 25 yards wide..

All anyone could say was WTF.....

Yep like I said very strange...We never even felt the extra wind...It must of been at 6 feet and never hit the ground...Just something sucked it up into the air...On the second time it came around and got real high ...About 50 feet I thought maybe it was just going to keep going...There was no real reason why it left the ground to begin with..
