As the low approaches it will help drive the necessary convection. Could be a long night, especially areas south of interstate 44 in oklahoma and texas.

6 miles east of McCurtain, looking ESE "Just saw a lightning flash, funnel is still 3/4 of the way to the ground."

"Seeing blue-green power flashes going into the sky. Do not see a tornado, but seeing blue power flashes."

Spotter now reporting larger than golf ball sized hail.

With that data, it shouldn´t need an hour for storms to burst from west Texas to the middle again.

From my point of view mets who suggested an upgrade were not that wrong.

Wind shear is just off the charts, meaning ANY storm that develops can quickly become tornadic...

KTEN TV in Denison says that they have a report of a tornado on the ground in the same vicinity.

If that does happen, would it be expected or unexpected? It looks pretty severe out there right now and I thought tonight wasn't going to be that big.

From my point of view mets who suggested an upgrade were not that wrong.

I agree.

Could the second low be the knockout punch in all this and turn a big outbreak into a historic outbreak?
