Also enjoy the storm chase no matter what- without getting to wish casty
Enjoy and don't despair
of course always pray for those in the path of a storm and never root

53. Try not to assume motives for official NHC forecasts beyond the data, as in, "they're calling it tropical/giving it a name/saying it's a hurricane, even though it isn't, because they want everyone in Miami/Houston/New Orleans/Nag's Head/Peoria to pay attention"

52. The GFS sucks at predicting tropical systems more than six days out, stop using it. ESPECIALLY in March or April.

I fixed it...

The last portion of your post MUST be emphasized.

True, prevents me from eating crow. I fixed it.

I wish that were the case in Katrina. I saw Cantore last year in Waveland. I told him I didn't want to see him here any more.....MGC

On the contrary, ever heard of the Cantore curse? It seems the canes follow the Cantore.

56: If it is 1016mb in a 1020mb area, technically it's a low... but come on, now.
57: That tropical storm is not annular.
58: Chances are, it's not becoming annular.

People are far too liberal with the definition of a true annular tropical cyclone. A slightly symmetric TC and warm convective tops do not imply that the TC is a true annular hurricane.

60. Consult reliable information before declaring that a TC is annular.

Better yet

61. Wait until the NHC says it is annular.

Kept Rita away from HOU. I don't think a big hurricane has hit HOU since he retired from NHC. But he is transitioning to full retirement this year. Lets hope he doesn't move to Florida.

63: Your forecast for the number of storms this year is incorrect.
