WARNING
GUSTS OF NE WIND 45-70, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL 60-80 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH, AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST, GUSTS OF SE and E WIND 35-50 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN 4-5, IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC INCREASING TO 5-6. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
SYNOPSIS
A ridge of high pressure from the west is intensifying toward the South Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian Sea, where a low is slowly filling up.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRITATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NE wind increasing to 20-30, in places to 35-43 knots. In the open sea of the South, and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first SE and E wind 18-34 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 4-5, then even 5-6. Visibility 10-20, in places with rain 1-4 km. Mainly cloudy with rain and thunder in places. Along the coast a risk of wind drifted snow, mainly in the Velebit Channel.
