I'm no longer excited about this mid week cold front which doesn't seem to be too strong. The latest 00GFS has the freezing line in North/Central Florida which would put our lows in the lower 50's.Highs lower 70's.Bring on rainy season I'm bored.

I am inclined to agree with you...of course lows of even 50 would be such a departure from what we have been seeing that it would feel extreme, but looking at the forecast below, I would say the front is going to usher in 'beautiful, pleasant weather' more than an 'arctic blast' (by florida terms) that was being alluded to the end of last week by NWS.

No one should have been excited. This event was situated in the long range, and previous Miami AFDs mentioned considerable uncertainties. These events are often overhyped.

true...i think seeing NWS Miami even mention a freeze event possibility, especially after this winter, made me think this was something pretty major...but i am looking forward to the comfortable temps we will see...open the windows!!!
