Who here likes Discovery Health Channel?

Well, apparently you can all go take a hike.

As most of you have probably heard, Oprah has struck a deal with Discovery to make Discovery Health Channel the Oprah Winfrey Network.

I'm a big fan of Discovery Health, and Oprah is one of my least favorite public figures, so you can just imagine I'm tickled to bits over this little bit of news.

I hate that a good network is going off the air so some egotistical blowhard can have a network named after her.

What does everyone else think about it?

I like Mystery Diagnosis, and sometimes, when in the right mood, Dr G., Medical Examiner.

Other than those shows and a couple others, Discovery Health had been on a downward spiral for a couple years now. I was expecting something like this to happen sooner or later; I'm fairly sure it's the least popular channel in the Discovery family (that or the Military Channel).

Oh great, and I finally broke down and bought a TV and got cable because I wanted to watch what everyone was talking about...wonder if it's too late to return the TV?

What rotten news! There's so much other crappy programming that I often turn to Discovery Health. I applaud Oprah for everything she's accomplished in her life, but I'm completely uninterested in watching an entire network devoted to her and her interests. I really wish this deal hadn't happened.

I heard on the news that Oprah got a TV network, but I didnt know it was the Discovery Health channel.

Just sucks that the Discovery Health Channel is dissolving.

It's more like the I. O.W.N. Y.O.U. network.

thanks regit. That really sucks. I liked some of the shows on Discovery health. I'm not a constant watcher, but I do watch it on at least once a week.
