I have a degree in applied mathematics, and I've been accepted into a Post-Baccalaureate Major program in atmospheric science. I have been told that a certificate of major (Post-Baccalaureate major) in atmospheric science is equivalent to a B.S. degree in atmospheric science. The same meteorology classes are required for a certificate and a B.S. degree.
I was just wondering if anyone on this board has any experience with one of these programs. How would an employer view an applied mathematics degree and a certificate of major in atmospheric science compared to a B.S. in atmospheric science? Any opinions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
