Looks impressive for this time of year. It probably will become a TS or STS, it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

First: I can't believe I actually just signed into my account here on the 9th of December.
Second: I can't believe I just got an e-mail from the NHS about this tropical disturbance, with Johnny Mathis's "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" playing in the background!
Third: This just isn't right.

It's making me laugh. Friends are coming down, I just cleaned the last stored (now unstored) chairs today. It's been blowing like stink around here and we've been watching - dates don't mean caa-caa.
We just had a party at a friend's house two nights ago, taking down the last of her hurricane bits. But...we're still *always ready*. Hope the google guy gets his guests up up and away!
The rain just started slamming in here..

Mj,those words are the most important ones.No matter the time of year,we have to be ready for the unexpected and this falls into that category.

I've shot quite a few emails off to boat and land friends among the islands to keep an eye out...
No boat for them.Seas are very high.About rain and wind from this,it depends on the track it takes. If it tracks close to our South, then we can see frequent rainbands with windy conditions. If it tracks to our north,we will be in the (the Weaker Side),then lesser effects will be felt.

Thanks. I don't mean boat *trip* folks, I mean people who live on boats. With the winds they've all secured anchors and dove the moorings but just want everyone as ready as can be. We'll be watching.
It's squally now, and we've had 20-30 mph winds, but that's not unusual for this time of year (Christmas winds...we love them!)...just don't want my chairs to blow away!!
(or anything else)
