Is this considered a provocation to the U.S. Navy or what?

When I look at this map, I see nothing weird by Iran's Revolutionary Guard patroling their waters.

the last time Iran took us on, remember, they ended up running to Saddam for peace terms, so they did not have to take Regan's

Sure, and it only took 8 years and 500,000-750,000 people dead for that to happen (Iran-Iraq war). We can't wait that long.

We should have the guts to do our own dirty work this time around. We shouldn't be ashamed, or apologize, for wasting the leadership of Iran if it comes to that. I'm sick and tired of apologizing for American, or even the West in general to a lesser degree. If you do want to cheer for the team, than for God's shake get out of the stadium!

it was our intervention that quickly ended the War though. Iran lost half of their surface fleet in a mere few hours. Most countries will go crying for peace terms if that were to happen

It would be foolish to assume Iran has learned nothing in the interim.

And our own performance against asymmetrical foes is a decidedly mixed bag.

:uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow: :uarrow:

The first sanctions that the U.N. security council imposed to Iran a year ago haved not worked. And if new Sanctions are imposed,IMO they will not work.

I agree, sanctions didn't work then, and they will not work now.

Iran continues to laugh while the West continues to sanction. Please, if you are going to do something to fix this, then do it, but sanctioning is not going to work.

So, where do we stand right now. Are they building a bomb or not? Everyday a become more alienated towards our government. Weeks ago we were almost going to war and now we find out that Iran nuclear program was stopped in 2003.

This is becoming more unclear than murky water.

Clearly our intelligence agencies have had major operational problems since well before 9/11.

You are aware that the Shia, to escape persecution from the more numerous Sunni back in the early days of Islam, developed a concept called 'taqiyya', or permitted deception to non-believers (or the 'wrong' type of Muslims) to further the goals of Allah.

A country with the world's third largest natural gas reserves, difficult to transport overseas, but perfect for electrical generation with gas turbine engine powered generators, would be foolish spending billions to develop nuclear power for electricity.

I agree that the U.S. intelligence has not been the best in the past few years (Iraq) I am skeptical of this latest news unless plenty of evidence is provided to sustain this new development.

As I've pointed out already, because the system is broken. I'm truly frightened now as is seem to me that no one, outside of Iran, has any idea of what is really going on there. We are in dangerous times folks, for all we know this latest claim might be an Iranian smoke screen, than again it might be the honest to God to truth. WE DON'T KNOW, that is the problem we just don't know! Our intelligence mechanism is now incapable of providing any type of concert proof to substantiate these latest claims. :(

Now this new report makes things worse as you said, the unknown factor will be dominating.Another important thing to watch will be Israels reaction to this new revelation from the intelligence report.

Don't want to get too plitical here, but this is what i heard on the radio, just reporting

I heard on the radio (WIOD in Miami), while driving home today, that the Harry Reid may have forced this release to halt plans for a pending attack on Iran. Do not know if this is confirmed and am only reporting what I heard
