Just received some damage reports from Jackson County. So far there were only four homes with water in them. No beach erosion and we received 11 inches of rain. Vancleave in Jackson County received 12 inches.

Wow that is a lot of rain Lindaloo but as I said in another thread it could be worse as Bill made landfall growing in intensity but moving fast not allowing it to be a cane.
Now Lindaloo keep watching during the season because we are in only in early july and a looooong road ahead of the season is left.

just getting back on line after 22hr. power outage caused by tree limb pulling down power line in back yard. Also let the smoke out of my Surgemaster, but thankfully it was the only thing damaged- I guess it did exactly what it was designed for. Lots of trees down in the neighborhood and plenty of local outages. Rain here ended up at 4.5", so no flooding. All in all, not too bad this time out...fp

Sorry to hear about the damage in your area Flightpath. Good to hear that at least the damage wasn't terribly extensive.

NNNNOOOOO!!!! We still have remnants of Bill in the GOM!! Don't send him back!!! The wierd thing is that my "gut feelilng" is going wild with the "remants" that are out in the GOM. We also had storms today in Houston that were the product of wrap around from Bill coming in from the north and colliding with moisture coming in from the SW-can you say convergence zone? I am not even going to come close to predicting that something will come of the GOM remnants, I just wish I understood why my "gut feeling" was acting up!
