One question, what would be the worst track this could take. That is in terms of the worst loss of life and worst surge. Thank you.

I think if the storm move more towards east then the loss of life will be higher.

Kd-black thanks for the picture of 91 storm. That storm hit around chittagong ,shandeep, maheshkhali area and went north east through the mountain region as it faded away.
SIDR looks set to hit,shundarbans/barishal and then it would go more towards north.
From one picture I saw it looked like it will hit dhaka even with category two strength.
On the way, this will destroy the paddy that would have been picked within weeks from now and destroy the lively hood of many million people.

If the current track continues the loss of life will be catastrophic as a monster of storm surge will be moving towards the delta causing the Ganges to back up and flood.

There is no turning back now. All preparations must have been completed by now.

Yes, it is. This is a pinhole eye, you can tell on the visible, and there seems to be a stadium effect going on, although it might be a trick of the light, since it's not visible on convective. Past its peak now, probably. Too bad it'll never be recognized as the category five monster it was.

The sun has already set in Bangladesh. Landfall will occur late evening.
