New one.

Looks similar to a very ... recent event, eh? *cough*

It's TD 9 from 2003.

Edit: This guess applies to Category 5's NRL image.

Start with a guess.

Josephine 1984?

BTW: Mine is not TD 9 from 2003.

Uh, Dennis?

Yes, it was necessary and I'm glad you spotted the landmass that I blacked out.

I'm beginning to get the suspicion that... this game may be coming to an end.

On September 29, 2007, the thread was created. Advisories from years past were posted, and users from around the world competed to guess the hurricane that the advisory was written on. Soon, a young user named Cyclone1 posted an image of Tropical Storm Gordon over Florida, and the craze went from advisories, to images. The thread saw it's high points, when storms were guessed almost immediately and the everyone had a blast, and it's low points, like when Hurricane Eloise stumped users for 3 or 4 pages. After 42 pages, the Name that Hurricane Thread has finally reached an end, with two storms having remained unguessed.

Until the off-season syndrome kicks in, this is the end of the Name that Hurricane Thread.

The Name that Hurricane thread.

September 29, 2007 - November 12, 2007.

And also it should be noted that this is the longest thread, i.e., most pages, in Storm2k O/T history if I'm not mistaken.

That's quite an achievement.

I gave up early on because I had no clue about most of the questions. LOL.

Well done all.

Not even close, the longest was around 320 pages by one of those Texas news threads somwhere around early summer 2006.

Let's make a note to bring this thread back in 2008, (starting with the two current storms), but not until 2008. Let the fun build back up a bit.

Well, until that point, Let's let this thread slowly drift into the history pages.

Until 2008...
