Certainly nothing rapid as there is still no well defined surface center. However, the upper winds are ever so slightly favorable for development (not entirely favorable as there is still that UL to the NW of the hurricane, which should restrict western outflow). In addition, the system is not moving and is close to land. However, there could be some slow development over the next day or so.
If the slow movement continues, those recon positions will prove to be far too fast in the motion
