Dean's eye is going to pass about ten or fifteen miles north of them.

I'm thinking more like 40 miles. Still the bay behind them is positioned perfectly for the strong winds closer to the eye to drive surge from the bay over the Key. I'm sure we are going to hear tales tomorrow. My total guess is around 100mph sustained there. Maybe less with a tightening storm. I'm not sure.

There is no way Dean passes 40 miles N of them.

He'd esentially have to book it WNW.

As for the live cam, it was on the reporter 150 miles north. After a live shot some lights fell over and you could tell it was blowing 50-60 mph. Only after the weather shut dowen the feed did it go to that second cutie with 1-3 foot surf.

Why are they filming in Corpus Christi? What's there to see?

One guy was out of Cancun at a hotel or resort and he was getting pounded with at least I would say 50mph gusts probably more. Something went flying by them and crashed near the pool area. That was awhile ago though. The other feed with the lady is at CC where it is alot calmer. I think Dean hitting at night is another bad thing. Will cause more deaths.

I don't think they're going straight for the eye. Probably won't have anything concrete in time for the 2AM.

Complete destruction of mobile homes. Major damage to lower floors of all structures less than 15 feet above sea level within 500 yards of shore. Low-lying escape routes inland cut by rising water 3 to 5 hours before hurricane center arrives. Massive evacuation of residential areas on low ground within 5 to 10 miles of shore possibly required. Radar images suggest the storm has gained little lattitude since the eclipse began....

Looking almost certain that Chetumal gets the southern eyewall at the LEAST.

No loop, but you can clearly see it hasn't moved north at all.
Take a straightedge and you can still se the center is actually SOUTH of Chetumals lattitude.
