At the end, that's the most important point.

That is true to them. But to us the matter of it being a cat4 or cat5 is important. Like your team winning the football game.

Speaking of MSNBC, I am surprised Keith Olberman hasn't blamed the hurricane on O'Reilly yet. LOL

Ahhh, but that 1mph is the difference between extreme destruction and catastrophic destruction.

162 knots*1.15*.85=158 mph. I would say cat5.

I find that to be incredibly sad. I'm glad you're safe and sound.

The NHC has declared it a cat 5. Does anyone know how the preparation for the storm has gone?

I cant imagine how bad this storm is going to be at landfall.

Ok again. How does the media get this before all of us?? Payoffs :)

I feel for the Yucatan. Whether its 145MPH or 160MPH is really does not matter at this point. It will be an extreme event

...or hopefully go through an EWRC, ingest dry Yucatan air, and weaken to a cat 3 before landfall.

From 1980-2000 there were 5 Category 5 hurricanes. Since 2003 there have been 7, that is amazing!
