Help from Da Hood, please

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Tue Jun 24, 2003 6:56 pm

Folks,

Finished revisions to the WREL Model Map Page.

The page originally was published just for us TC folks and was only advertised on the wx boards. It gets so many hits that the brass wanted it to reflect the look and feel of our other wx pages (not a shameless plug for the site...actually a compliment to all the hurricane enthusiasts).

Anyway, I've completed the redesign and would like you to check it out before we get busy. If everything works okay for you, great...or you can opine by clicking the email addy on the page. Not groveling for compliments (really), just want to make certain it's ready to go.

Thanks :)

As always:

Thanks guys. Appreciate the help. :P

Seems okay with IE and Netscape. Don't know if anyone's still at 640x480, looks funky in Netscape at that resolution but if no one complained, we'll let it be.

Would any other links be of help? If so, email me at the addy on the page.

Also, Mike has just released the upgrade model software in beta. I'm messing with it and the map layout will be slightly different if this version is used, so that may be an upcoming change as well. If something spins up in EPAC over the next few days I may track that with Version 6 just to see how it looks. Comments on that will also be most welcome.

Now if I just could get a national advertiser on the page to help with bandwidth $$$.

Hmmm...what do we live on during hurricanes:

coffee
Dr. Pepper
Luzianne Iced Tea (official drink of the HurricaneCenter)
Cheese Nips/assorted "nabs"
TUMS
Pepto Bismol
Imodium AD

perhaps 3M for all the masking tape dopey people still put on their windows??

I need to do some prospecting!
