Thanks for the reports M2...I'm praying for everyone in that area of Arizona that things will improve soon.
Fortunately I've never been in a forest fire, but know from folks that have just how horrific they are. It's my worst natural disaster fear for my younger sister and her family in Oregon...there have been some very bad fires over the years east and south of Portland.
May God Bless,
Perry

Hi Perry - good to hear from you again; hope you're well. Actually I just
got online and must get caught up myself...(work...you know the drill).
I'm doing the old CNN/FoxNews/W2K board dance here to find out.
Aslkahuna and the rest of the "Arizona 5" contingent must have posted
the latest details so I'll get filled in from those guys, if so. Oregon is a
really beautiful part of the country, and yes, they have their share of
forest fires too. But they live in Tree Land and have many more resources
to deal with that sort of thing than we do in the Desert Southwest. Sure,
2/3 of our state is at 'elevation' and mountainous, but not to the extent
as the Northwest. After all, they not only have to worry about fires, but
also volcanic eruptions, snowstorms, floods, earthquakes, etc. etc. And oh,
by the way - I said "they have to worry" - not you friend. You've worried
enough about all of us and everyone else on the planet 10x over, and we
appreciate it greatly. Just sit back and watch all the pros out there do
their thing - the experts have it well in hand (be it Mother Nature herself or
the guys on the front lines. Take care & Happy 4th of July kiddo (albeit
early).

Yes, that's why Perry is such a great friend... he doesn't worry about himself. He ALWAYS worries about others. I met Perry a while ago, and have enjoyed him as a friend the WHOLE time.
M2, you are right... let the firefighters there do their job, and hopefully they'll get those fires contained soon.
