5 AM = 75 mph
8 AM = 80 mph
11 AM = 90 mph

Yeah, at 90 hours, look at that 500mb vort max in the western GOM. Was that there before! Even at 300mb. Could thtat direct him toward the NW once in the GOM

Notice the weakness in the high at hour 90 off the Texas coast...that could begin to pull the system more north into the GOM, instead of the BOC

Track solid for now under strong ridge. Waiting for possible veer after islands, but so far GFS correct.
