This Dakar observation shows the falling pressures today and the wind direction from the west very interesting at Senegal.

This wave has a cyclonic turning with it at low to mid levels as discussion from TPC said.This new wave may be a player down the road but as we know hostile conditions are in the atlantic basin still so time will tell but at least it is something to watch.

The monsoon trough is fairly strong currently. However, and something that I realize now I forgot in the discussion was the SAL, the SAL seems very strong at the present time based upon IR images and cloud patterns. We need this to abate before anything can form or else we'll just see a repeat of TD 2 where the SAL zapped it

This is an SSMI image near CV. Good luck having TC formation with that SAL present
