I read like a fiend; some of my favorites are Charles Dickens, Barbara Kingsolver, Charles Baxter, Gary Jennings, James Clavell, Robertson Davies, Isaac Asimov, Vladimir Nabokov, Mark Helprin, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Toni Morrison, and John Irving.

Some of my favorites are, James Clavell , James Michner. Tom Clancy, John Grisham, and David Balducci are just a few.

Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, J.K. Rowling, Alice Sebold, and Harper Lee even though she only wrote one book. =\

I hope to get to Thoreau someday Dennis. Right now I'm reading Will Durant's Story of Civilization series. It's slow going - I predict that I'll be done sometime in 2010.
