Deb,
I have sent you a PM . I had thyroid cancer and can tell you what happens after the surgery. It isn't a death sentence. My cancer was in 1999.

I'm so sorry Deb and you are most definately in my prayers!

My brother had his totally removed last December because he had a large nodule on either side of his thyroid. Thankfully they weren't cancerous. He'll be taking medication to replace the thyroid for the rest of his life. Perhaps that's what your doctor will do and it will totally get rid of it.

Please keep us informed!

Deb, like the others, a prayer said at the keyboard on your behalf. One of the hardest things is not trying to think too much about all the different possible outcomes. Instead, take a day at a time, be positive about the surgery, and be glad that it was found and that surgery is one fork in the road toward recovery. Success stories right here on S2k of other survivors should give you plenty of reason to feel positive. Best wishes for a surgery that produces just the results you want to hear and a brand new outlook on the other side of your life. You can and will have plenty to be thankful for on the other side of the surgery. We'll be thinking of you!

We will both be praying for you!

Nikki even said that she would not only pray but, she would also light candles, meditate, chant, break out the rosary beads, grab a throw rug and bow down facing East every time she hears a bell ring, and even dance in various states of undress around a big bonfire if need be!! :D She figures if she's willing to attempt to reach all of the Deities, one of them is bound to listen!!

Hang tough and let us know if there is anything that we can do to help you during this difficult time!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Deb, you are in my positive thoughts for comfort, wholeness, and health.

It's good that you are open to immediate physical investigation of the situation. Along with a physical plan of action, talk with your healthcare providers about techniques you can practice to strengthen that all-important mind-body connection, as well.

Your S2K family are holding you in our hearts!

Lets hope the cancer is in its early stages and doctors can get rid of it. A have a friend that he has survived two cancers.

Remember that one battle doesn't decide a war, so fight as much as you can, and lets hope everything will go all right.
