First day of Summer??

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Jun 21, 2003 10:29 am

Happy Summer, I think, feels more like FALL here today than summer  Winds gusting out of the SW at 27 mph, temp of 58° at 0830 makes it a *little* cool this morning! Believe me, I'm NOT complaining, with all the flooding, fires elsewhere, I am so thankful that I live in a place like Pinetop where my only worries at the moment is the fear of my veggie garden freezing tonight!

Wow... doesn't seem like summer in Pinetop, but it does here. Hazy and slightly humid with temps rising into the middle 80's today. Hope your plants don't freeze tonight?

Middle 80's sounds like early spring for us. We're already at 94° with a heat index of 105° and it's only 1pm.

I am SOOOO sick of the WIND "Auggggh!" Sustained winds outta the SW @ 16 gusting to 27 at times, it's making the dust dusty "LOL!" I HATE to see my water bill THIS month, last month was OVER a 100$..........ah well, it's MY fault for planting so many trees, flowers, veggies etc!

It's more like the first day of spring around here...

We've had warm spells at the end of March that have been warmer than any day we've seen during this whole spring!

Amen to that... it's in the 60s here, with a nice rain. Well, it should get warm this week... mid to upper 80s and we may even hit 90 by Wednesday... finally I get a chance to go to the pool! :)
