Favorite Ice Cream?

#1 Postby Janie2006 » Wed May 09, 2007 11:28 pm

Its ice cream season again down in these parts (we're expected to reach 90*F tomorrow), though you don't need a reason to eat it. I love the homemade ice cream, but I also enjoy Dutch chocolate and mint chocolate chip. What's your favorite?

I guess if I had to choose one favorite, it would be vanilla cause I could put anything on it and make hot fudge sundaes. I love light chocolate topping, etc.

I remember having a flavor of ice cream while vacationing in both Michigan and Wisconsin - it was creamy vanilla with swirls of caramel and pralines. No chocolate or caramel cups. I cannot find this flavor of ice cream locally - it's always different than what I had in WI and MI.

I had it daily when we vacationed up there, both summers! Each trip (weeklong).

I've given up trying to find it down here. Sigh....

When I was young, I had licorice ice cream once. I never saw it again.

Oh Thanks.... it still exists :D

I do not think I would buy a whole container, but a cone of it would be fun. I only remember it was very strong in flavor. I guess if I just ask at an ice cream store, they may accidently have it sometime.

Chocolate!

But in the old neighborhood the DQ made a Chocolate Peanut Butter Sundae with Chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, cookie crunch, whipped cream and a cherry...sigh, if the neighborhood wasn't so bad I'd get one once in a while, I miss it.

I love Hot Fudge sundaes the best. I go to the tanning beds, and downstairs they have Zack's frozen yogurt. The best hot fudge sundaes. I am hooked and it is less fattening than regular ice cream. I also love mint chocolate chip and Pistachio Almond.
