I don't know why Paris is upset. I think this is same county and jail where Michelle Rodriguez was put in jail for violating her probation. She got 45 days and served only 2 days. I doubt Paris will serve the full sentence.

According to a People magazine report:

Last month, Rodriguez, 27, was sentenced to five days in an Oahu jail for her December 1, 2005, DUI arrest on the island. She was released April 28 after serving just 65 hours, because the time she'd spent in custody after her arrest counted toward her sentence.

and

'LOS ANGELES (May 31, 2006) - Actress Michelle Rodriguez was released from jail early, after serving less than a day of a 60-day jail sentence, authorities said Tuesday. Rodriguez was sentenced for violating probation terms after her drunken driving arrest in Hawaii. She was released Thursday from a Los Angeles County jail due to overcrowding, authorities said.

the difference here is that she had served some time already....

She got exactly what she deserved. She is no better than you or I. Oh, yes, she will probably come out smelling like a rose when she gets out, but she will have one strike against her.............her jail record. She will carry this with her the rest of her life.

Smelling like a rose?? The more she rants and raves about " miscarriage of justice being committed against her", the more people see what a brainless twit she is. At this point, forget jail. . . I think we should bring back the stocks with a 24/7 webcam just for her. Charge for viewing the webcam with the proceeds going to MADD or something.

It seems like everyone who gets out of jail writes a book or is in demand. Martha did ok. Susan McDoogal did ok. Book deals and tv are just waiting for them.

except that Martha is a convictd felon and is barred by law from writing a book about her situation.

Susan McDougal was also a convicted felon for fraud and conspiracy but received a full Presidential pardon from outgoing President Bill Clinton in the final hours of his presidency in 2001. The last prison bout was her being held for civil contempt of court. McDougal has written The Woman Who Wouldn't Talk and works as an advocate for prison reform.

Holy crap. If this is true, she is just arrogant!

Paris Hilton has been photographed behind the wheel of a car just days after receiving a jail sentence for driving with a suspended licence.

The hotel heiress, who was handed a 45-day jail term last Friday, was apparently seen in her $200,000 blue Bentley convertible in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Paris was followed by paparazzi as she got lost in Century City, before finishing up in a dead end despite using printed directions.

The 26-year-old is said to have made three u-turns before managing to reach her final destination.

Meanwhile, the 'Simple Life' star has allegedly switched attorneys in a last-ditch attempt to avoid jail.

Paris has jumped from criminal defence lawyer Howard Weitzman to specialist DUI (driving under the influence) attorney Richard Hutton, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

She was seen sobbing after leaving Hutton's office on Tuesday, as her mother Kathy tried to console her.

Okay, so she says she 's ready to face the consequences, but files an appeal, and hires a DUI specialist to get out of going to jail. Her appeal is laughed out of the governor's office and she decides to drive again, all in the space of a few days?!?!?!

Paris Hilton: 'I'm ready to face the consequences of violating probation'

LOS ANGELES - Five days after she was sentenced to jail, Paris Hilton says she understands the seriousness of driving under the influence and that she is not "above the law."

"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation," Hilton said in a statement released Wednesday by her new attorney, DUI specialist Richard Hutton. "I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse."

The 26-year-old socialite was represented by attorney Howard Weitzman during her probation-violation hearing Friday. A receptionist at Hutton's Pasadena office declined to say when Hilton retained his services.

Hutton did not return repeated calls for comment.

Hilton said she released the statement because "I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me."

"I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is," she said. "I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired. Clearly, no one should - no matter how slightly."

The notorious party girl, who parlayed her pampered lifestyle into a reality TV show and a pop CD, was sentenced to 45 days in county jail for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to the women's jail in suburban Lynwood by June 5, adding that she will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring instead of time behind bars.

Hilton's original legal team, headed by Weitzman, filed a notice with the court on Friday indicating their intent to appeal the decision.

Paris' pardon plea laughed out of governor's office

May. 9, 2007 08:11 AM
Paris Hilton's pardon plea to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been laughed out of his office.

The hotel heiress appealed to her fans to sign a petition after she was sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended licence and sent it to the actor-turned-politician.

But calls to Arnie's office inquiring about the petition were met with mockery.

The governor's press secretary, Aaron McLear, said, "The petition will be treated no differently than any other request filed to the governor's office.

"The governor only acts in extraordinary circumstances."

Paris' mother Kathy Hilton is furious her daughter has been given a jail term.

She told the USA Today newspaper, "This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayers' money with all this nonsense. This is a joke."

The 45-year-old even implied the judge only decided to jail Paris to become famous.

When the judge sentenced the socialite, Kathy laughed out loud and blurted, "May I have your autograph?"

When Judge Michael T. Sauer walked into his parish church on Saturday, the day after sentencing Paris, he was greeted by rapturous applause.

too bad she is not in maricopa county

she would then face 45 days of real jail. And no good food either, unless she likes moldy bologna on moldy bread twice a day

I am surprised some activist group hasn't complained about the food there. That sounds pretty bad.

As I recall, on one of her eppies on the Simple Life, she actually worked at a jail and had to provide the stuff they call "food" to the inmates. She proceeded to eat some of it and was repulsed out of her mind. As an aside, why I watched that episode, I don't know so don't ask LOL

Shouldn't that have been a bit of a wake-up call for her? Maybe she doesn't know what a wake-up call is if it smacks her across the head, which it should.

Sounds like when Kurt Busch (a NASCAR Nextel Cup driver) was arrested in Maricopa County for drunk driving and mouthing off to a police officer, only he was given community service (and suspended for the rest of the season by NASCAR). Ironically, he's sponsored by Miller Lite now.
