When You Were Really Small

#1 Postby Janice » Sun May 06, 2007 5:11 pm

Everything now is so spectacular, like Disneyland. When you were small, what was something really spectacular to you.

Me... when we went to Minnesota and saw Paul Bunyan and Babe. His statue was so huge to me.

We went on vacation to Lumberton NC and my grandparents took us to an amusement park on the ocean and it had a really long pier. I think it was near Myrtle Beach. It was beautiful when the sun went down from the top of the ferris wheel. I wonder if the amusement park is still there.

Really spectacular was finding a big Easter basket next to my bed when I woke up in the morning. Those baskets were huge when I was small.

When I was young, we went to Canada fishing and I remember how huge the rock formations looked.

Hmm lets see.. The 1st time I saw the downtown Tampa skyline when I went there on vacation when I was about 10 lol.. Um.. the arena where I graduated from HS from and had my "Disney Dreamers n Doers" ceremony..

When I took my 1st flight back in November, I thought Miami International Airport was like a castle.. and I even thought Nashville was too lol..

I could probably keep going but I don't feel like rambling..

We took a road trip to see family in New England when I was ten. In upstate New York ("Sleepy Hollow Country" as my Dad called it), they were doing road construction and the trucks and earth-moving machinery seemed huge--- bigger than any I'd seen back home. We, also, went to Boston and saw Faneuil Hall, the Old North Church, and such. All the buildings in Boston were gigantic! I loved it! My sister and I still talk about that trip and the great memories made on it.
